Hello, a little about me…
Tobias Shoemaker is the bestselling author of The First Fallen: Book of Sorrows and The First Fallen: Book of Ashes. An avid reader, he has a particular appreciation for horror and thriller fiction. Based in South Florida, Tobias embraces the coastal lifestyle and can often be found driving along the shoreline in his Jeep or spending time by the ocean.
Tobias was raised in Wayne, Michigan, and has also called Dallas, Texas; Waikiki, Hawaii; and West Palm Beach, Florida, home. He earned his degree in Visual Arts from the Dallas Institute of Art and brings more than three decades of experience in illustration, graphic design, and corporate management.
Once upon a time, while working in corporate sales, he was asked to write an amusing caption beside his details on the organization’s website. He wrote “I am a best-selling novelist currently masquerading as a forty-something sales manager and husband.”
Now in his fifties, Tobias continues to focus on both his personal and professional pursuits. He resides in West Palm Beach with his wife, Ana Maria, and their dog, Gino. When he is not enjoying time in the ocean, he remains dedicated to exploring themes of vengeance, love, philosophy, and the resilience of the human spirit in his writing.
